We do understand that we are going to have to change Time management because it's no longer supported. We also need to add a scheduling tool.
  • Good source of Employee data;
  • Reports are fairly wasy to use
  • Our Executive Account Manager is great to work with
  • Time to respond to cases
  • The buck being passed to other areas of the business
  • Lack of personal attention, feel like your request go to AI or a black hole
Again, the tool is good, user friendly but its the support that is lacking.

  • I like the flexibility BI gives for reporting
  • I like the "payroll processing" functionality compared to Namely or ADP
  • Even though the amendment process can be lengthy, I like how easy UKG makes it to make payroll adjustments
  • More reporting around payroll adjustments. Once the amendment case is done and they provide the AAF report, it's hard to reconcile the additional amounts due. I log each payroll adjustment and I still find it hard to follow once we receive the AAF report
  • The GL set up in UKG is not flexible. It would be nice to have more flexibility to how we are able to code items in the GL Rules
  • In standard reporting, have the option to download more reports in either excel or csv format. Such as the Tax Liability Grand Total Report
Overall I am very happy with UKG. I do not have a ton of experience to compare it to. We used Namely before implementing to UKG and UKG is a lot more robust. I have a little experience with ADP. I prefer the payroll processing to either one of those other systems.

We use UKG Pro to process the agency's semi-monthly payroll. When we have issues, we use to call the rapid response team and create a case number. We used Paychex before and assigned one person to help us to solve issues. With UKG, sometimes we need to wait for a day or two before someone gets back to us to help us solve the problem.
  • Technical support team usually help us to solve problems.
  • The payroll allocations report is helpful and saves us time in preparing payroll journal entries.
  • Sometimes, when we have payroll issues, we go to the Learning Center and try to find answers, but it is not helpful at all.
  • The Mobil App for time management needs improvements; employees always have issues clocking in and out with their cell phones.
  • Employees always complain about the new requirements for creating new passwords. At least 15 characters with a special character at the end; it is just too long for some of them.
  • The agency has a policy that new hires are not allowed to use sick time after 90 days and vacation time after 180 days, and we are not sure whether UKG has set it up for us. Right now, we just manually record the sick time and vacation time ourselves. It would be great if UKG could automatically calculate that for us and loaded on employees' pay statements after 90 days and 180 days.
UKG did well when we had issues with employees working for both agencies. We called the Rapid Response Team, and they fixed those issues on their back end. Another example is with the Amended W-2 form; they gave us instructions to do it ourselves, but it was not working, and need to make phone calls to get help.

We use UKG Pro for HR, Timekeeping, and Payroll. We moved from using three separate products to UKG in order to streamline.
  • UKG Pro has allowed us to better automate our payroll processing.
  • UKG Pro has helped us become a more paper-free organization.
  • UKG Pro allows us to customize the solution to meet our growing and evolving business needs.
  • As UKG is aware, the support for customers needs some improvement. As the recent changes to the staffing/support hierarchy take effect, I hope to see some relief to the current frustrations.
  • As the UKG Pro products evolve, they need to become more integrated and less segmented. Having to purchase multiple products that then need to coordinate for processing leads to issues.
  • As users, we have a lot of options for self-service and customization, but some simple fixes still require assistance from UKG support. Give us the power to help ourselves whenever possible.
Overall, UKG Pro has been a worthwhile investment for our company. It fits our current needs and has the functionality to continue to improve our business processes, given the time to learn and implement new pieces. I wish we could be on one system only (instead of Pro and Workforce Management for the time), but I've been told with our company size, that would not be wise. I hope future developments and releases will allow all customers to have a unified experience.

I have every platform with UKG except for Learning and People Assist. I use all things UKG Pro for my everyday job, from hire to retirement and timekeeping to payroll. Our latest implementation, UKG Dimensions, helped us to get our managers off of their PCs and back on the floor with their teammates.
  • UKG Employee Portal is very user friendly.
  • Payroll is seamless.
  • Timekeeping can handle complex rules.
  • I wish payroll had a batch process where we could store upcoming payments months out.
  • I wish they would give admins more "keys to the kingdom," and we would not have to put so many tickets in for simple changes.
  • I wish they would not nickle and dime us for every little change we need to make.
UKG Pro is great for our employees. It is easy to use and has everything they need. It is less user-friendly for the Admins. We have to place tickets for everything we need to do, and they charge us $4,000 or more for each SR we create.

UKG Pro is the HRIS platform that manages our people data across the organization. We were seeking a unified solution to eliminate issues with disparate systems. UKG Pro helped simplify processes, allowed the HR team to become more strategic, automated workflow to reduce data errors and introduced self-service to our associates.
  • Training is offered at no additional cost. You have 24/7 access to webinars, quick tours, documentation, etc. which really helps you become more invested in UKG Pro.
  • Customer support is superior. You have access to knowledge experts who are interested in your successful use of UKG Pro.
  • The UKG Pro user interface is intuitive allowing for ease of use by both managers and associates.
  • UKG Pro has an amazing user resource called UKG Community that offers a wealth of information.
  • Tax Filing can be tricky. Be sure to understand the process and keep on top of any action on your part.
  • Using a new system can be intimidating. Take as much training as possible to fully understand how to best leverage all of the features of UKG Pro.
  • Try to plan for the possibility of future growth upfront. Think about where you are trying to be in 10 years - will your HRIS platform sustain your growth plan?
The UKG Pro offers key HRIS features to support the lifecycle of an employee and beyond. While most HRIS solutions have this functionality, there are unique differentiators around this product, services and on-going support with UKG that are remarkable. UKG as a whole puts people first in everything they do - that not only influences the experience you have with the product and services, it also positively impacts your experience as a client. The UKG Community is such a valuable resource that puts knowledge articles, learning, and more at your fingertips. UKG partners solicit feedback from clients on a regular basis and they are always seeking ways to improve the employee experience.

We use UKG Pro for processing our payroll. The system allows us to process payroll in a timely manner utilizing the paycodes, locations and departments we have setup. We also utilize time transfers amongst locations so that we may properly allocate expenses to the exact locations where the employees worked.

UKG Pro is our main timekeeping and payroll solution for our organization. Our needs in a payroll system involve several different types of employment, including temporary and contracted in addition to full and part time. We also have needs to manage payroll across multiple business units that are all part of the same EIN#. UKG allows us to be able to navigate different earning types as well.
  • UKG is user friendly. The interface is easily accessible for all employees.
  • Open enrollment has become much easier now that it is processed through UKG
  • Approvals and hiring process flows are streamlined.
  • We currently struggle using the scheduling platform in a way that suits our needs.
  • The tax compliance support has been a struggle over our time with UKG.
  • Setting up filing needs in new states can be cumbersome.
UKG is well suited for an organization that has a muti-faceted workforce that is not a one-size-fits-all type of organization. We have everything from retail to manufacturing, and the features allow for us to accommodate all of those needs. If you have needs for project accounting or allocating wages to different clients, UKG Pro doesn't seems to have great solutions to accommodate those needs.

UKG Pro is currently being used across the whole organization as an HRMS platform to house employee personnel data. We use it to process payroll and also use their Payment Tax Services as well as Onboarding and Recruiting.

Our company setup is not overly complicated and follows basic needs for payroll, HR management, and timekeeping. We have used Ultimate Software since 2007. The merger with Kronos in 2020 was a bit rocky in the areas of tax payment services and customer service, but we are hoping for better things as they iron out the tasks and responsibilities for former Ultimate Software products. Newer clients should not have that issue, however, because they are joining post merger and will not have to seek assistance on pre merger products. As a whole, the product offering is great and has most features that you would expect to have available in 2023.

UKG Pro is currently being utilized as our HRIS, ATP, PTO tracking and payroll system. Since implementing UKG Pro, our employees are able to access their vacation time and personal information with much more ease. It is also an effective tool for our HR team to ensure recruitment activities can be carried out efficiently.

UKG is our Payroll System, used on a daily basis to process Payroll for over 18000 active employees. In my role, I create and process Payroll Reports in BI and standard Reporting (both the Web and BackOffice). I like some of the standard reports because they are easy to use for daily audits but I have also created several reports in BI that are specific for my auditing purposes.

We use UKG Pro as the ERP for all things HR-related. This includes compensation portal, benefits management, employee performance tracking and reviews as well as tax information tracking. Other modules that we use and appear to be stand-alone are Paid time off tracking as well as hourly data for all employees.

UKG Pro may be best suited once subscribed to all the additional bells and whistles modules that cost extra. I put that out there to try and be fair, we did not subscribe to some of these since when it was originally purchased, many of these functions were already included and therefore, we did not feel we should have to re-subscribe. That said, the platform we use is in a limited function to the HR function and even there, it requires a lot more additional personal handholding and manual work of the system.

UKG Pro [(formerly Ultimate Software UltiPro)] is best suited in Organizations that have 50 or more employees. It works well for multilayered organizations like healthcare companies, accounting firms, organizations with unions etc. I wouldn't recommend for small mom and pop organizations or start-up organizations.

UKG Pro is a our HRIS system which is used for Payroll and Benefits management. We have several of the modules to address workforce management, learning, performance and document management. UKG Pro assists us with the various facets of managing our employees and the HR functions.

Our company moved to UKG Pro in 2019. This was our first successful joint HR and Payroll solution. UKG Pro streamlined our practices in so many ways. We were able to have one system of record to store and maintain employee information. We were able to streamline our resources, which allowed us to have more time to focus on other HR initiatives. We transitioned our company from paper forms, to online workflows which reduced time and limited document loss. We were able to add additional modules to our core HR and Payroll product, and fully integrated performance management, learning & development, benefits, and compensation management. UKG is always updating their product so that it is the best on the market and we really felt that. The system was easy to use and has a modern look and feel. I loved my time using UKG Pro and would suggest it to anyone looking for a new HRIS.

If you're looking for a modern solution UKG Pro is perfect. However you will need dedicated support from 1 or more employees on your HR team, there is so much functionality it is a lot for one person to cover.

We initially chose UKG as our HRIS when we decided to leave our PEO in 2020. It allowed us to effectively bring all HR functions in house including payroll, compliance, time tracking, document storage, recruiting, onboarding, leave tracking, etc. We have 600+ employees at over 120 locations all over the USA. UKG allows us to manage our employee data and care for our team members.

Excellent for complex payroll situations including multiple states and locations. Great if you have leadership buy-in and the ability to pay for the best platform.

Poor customer service. Tickets take a long time to resolve and each person seems to specialize, meaning you get handed around quite a bit before finding the person who can solve the problem.

We use UKG Pro for all our reporting, Human Resources and payroll needs.
  • People Analytics---customer support reps. are knowledgeable and helpful
  • Import tool--valuable asset for customers to have the ability to import files without having to create a case
  • Mass Updates--another tool that allows customers to make their own updates en mass
  • Case selection items--there is no clear distinction for the customer as to which item to choose when creating a case. I.E. When do we choose system administration as opposed to HR administration?
  • UKG Learning--There should be a way to add someone to the area to take classes without allowing them access to cases, sign up for classes that were unassigned
  • Demonstrations---UKG allows customers to give webinars on how they use the system. At times, UKG reps. do this as well, but would like to see them do this more often
Recruiting module---The onboarding, creating of opportunites meets most of our business needs. However, it isn't easy to create a report to capture the length of time a candidate has been within each step. This would be beneficial as we would be able to tell where the bottlenecks may be. If it takes awhile for the manager to review a resume or application, then the time to fill a position is increased. We'd like to easily show this problem to management.

I personally love using UKG and love to show our organization better ways to utilize the product. Yes, everything costs money and as a hospitality industry HR does not make money but what we do have to do is ensure our associate's are being paid quickly, correctly and accurately. As the world grows UKG grows with it and ensuring that compliance is at the forefront.

We use UKG Pro as our HRMS, we use it from Recruiting to Onboarding and throughout the entire employee tenure with the company, and we also pay our employees through UKG Pro. UKG Pro help maintains and manage our employee data, and we build and run reports for employee analytics. It's important to have a centralized cloud solution our employees can enter and update their information with ease.
  • Reliable employee database, there [isn't as much] downtime compared to some other solutions
  • Easy to use and user friendly in general.
  • Spring and Fall updates in UKG Pro are generally great.
  • Open Enrollment/Life Events need some updates and enhancements, it's long overdue.
  • Allow customers to keep the classic menu or new modern menu as they like.
  • Need more robust and dynamic workflow/approval path, a way that the system can be smart enough to set approval path that will cascade up from employee level up to CEO level for approval
  • Dashboards that can be use in classic homepage and push out to employees based on their security roles
The best scenario is a company at least has 1 HRIS person who is dedicated to [learning] how to best utilize the system, UKG Pro may not be best suited for very small companies without an HRIS person. Support is usually provided generic responses and answers and refers to specific articles where customers have to read and figure how to go about fixing an issue. Not all HR professionals have the time and knowledge to just read an article and resolve their issues on their own.

We use UKG Pro for payroll, tax payments and wage garnishments, HR record-keeping, recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, benefits, surveys, timekeeping, performance reviews, reporting. We currently have 13 component companies on [the] UKG Pro Platform and three different payroll frequencies. We also use UKG Pro as the system to feed employee status and employment information to our active directory, IT set-ups in Service Now, and other 3rd party systems the business units use to manage employee user access.
  • Streamline payroll and tax payments
  • BI reports and analytics - via scheduled delivery
  • Consolidating all employee data on a user-friendly platform for easy navigation and administration
  • Products are holistic, and all geared towards helping HR and companies manage their teams and team members
  • Include SSO links in notification emails for users that work in the field that use the mobile app, as well as the standard links that route back to the desktop. e.g. PTO request approvals, job requisition approvals, people assist notifications
  • Service requests in Ultimate Community have a serious lag. Provide more resources to get projects completed in a more timely manner. Most steps are stalled in our internal projects that require data feeds, UDES, or interface builds waiting for a UKG resource assignment.
I love that UKG [Pro] is open to new ideas and implementing changes based on client feedback. UKG [Pro] has a very robust reporting and analytic database with BI reporting. [The] platform is setup to handle the full life cycle of employees and is very user-friendly. UKG [Pro] is always upgrading and coming up with new products to enhance [the] user and admin experience.

I use UKG Pro to process payroll for our employees and independent contractors. We use UKG Pro for our HR systems to store our employee information. We use WFM to log in employee hours and use Time off system. In 2023 we will begin to use the Performance tool, for our annual reviews. This feature also includes goal, and goal setting to monitor progress. We also UKG to post company bulletins and handbooks, any information that is useful to the employee. We also use reporting system to pull reports needed each day to assist us with Payroll or HR needs.

  • Recent server issues has cause slow time in using the system. Better and faster access to UKG Pro is helpful.

  • Unable to have our employees access 1099 NEC forms on their UKG accounts as well as t4A for our Canada contractors
UKG Pro is user friendly and mostly reliable, its a better system than ADP previously used. Its not 100% the best but its user friendly and easy to learn. The system may not be suitable for 1099 NEC payroll/reporting and Canadian Businesses that we were able to use in ADP to pay our businesses.

We utilize several UKG modules including Pro, Compensation, Recruiting, Onboarding, and the LMS. We implemented 2 of those this year -- clearly, we love using UKG or we would not have signed up for those modules. UKG makes it really easy for us to manage our employee data in a single system, rather than having to make changes in several systems.
  • Employee data management is versatile and easy
  • Community and Learning center are great resources
  • The People Analytics reporting suite is great
  • It would be great to have more advanced classes on the reporting and event tools
I think UKG could fit almost any company or industry. It is so versatile that you could set it up to meet your specific needs. At our company, for example, we have 2 pay schedules for exempt and non-exempt employees. UKG is able to accommodate this unusual setup by allowing us to add multiple pay groups.
